My stay at the Granville Hotel was a pleasant surprise. I found it more affordable compared to other options in Brighton, and the service was really good. The decor certainly had its quirks, and there were a few areas needing a bit of TLC, but overall, it was a charming experience with an unbeatable seaside view.

My room was cozy and spotless, featuring a gorgeous bathroom with a large Jacuzzi. However, it could use an update as the decor seemed a bit dated.

I recently stayed at the Granville Hotel for my wife's birthday, and overall, it was a nice experience. The Brighton Rock room we were in was beautiful, and despite the inclement weather, the atmosphere was just fantastic. The breakfast was excellent and the views were a lovely bonus. On the downside, I think some areas of the hotel could use a little updating to fully match the stunning views and charm of the decor.

I recently stayed at the Granville Hotel in Brighton, and it was quite an experience. The elegant decoration and comfort of the rooms were standout features, though I found the size of the double bed a bit small for my partner and me. The location right by the beach was fantastic, making it easy to explore the area. However, the parking situation in an NCP car park was slightly inconvenient. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with minor room for improvement.

Rooms

The room was large and well-decorated, but the bed felt a bit small for my height. I appreciated the cleanliness, but the bathroom lacked some linens like hand-towels.

Breakfast served at Smokey’s was good with generous portions. The blueberry pancakes were a highlight, and I enjoyed the variety of options available.

The overall amenities were quite nice, but I did have to open windows for ventilation as the room got hot even with the heating turned off. Minor noise from nearby areas was also a distraction sometimes.

6.4/10

My stay at the Granville Hotel was a mix of highs and lows. While the charming decor and location near the seafront added to the experience, the discomfort of the bed and outdated room amenities were quite disappointing. I had expected better given the price I paid, particularly for breakfast.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in felt outdated, with furniture and fixtures that seemed stuck in the 90s. The lack of a decent view was also a letdown, as I only looked out to walls and a car park.

The hotel's location was convenient, just a short walk from Brighton's attractions and the seafront. It was easy to get to nearby restaurants and entertainment, which I enjoyed.
Dining

The breakfast had generous portions, but I found it lacked variety. After my experience with the other aspects of the stay, I had low expectations for the food.

The hotel really needs a refresh. From the lift to the decor, many aspects could be improved without major renovations. Additionally, the shower setup was impractical for someone with mobility issues.

My stay at the Granville Hotel was thoroughly enjoyable. from the stunning sea views to the warm hospitality of the staff. I was even upgraded to a sea view suite, which truly added to the experience. The only downside was the need to park at a nearby NCP car park, but that seems common in Brighton. Overall, it was a great value for such a nice stay.
